Peepin’ the Street: Re-Styled!

There have been so many amazing street style shots from fashion week! As soon as I see an inspiring street wear ensemble, I ask myself, “how can I replicate this look on such a slim budget?” (I know I’m not alone in this, otherwise you probably wouldn’t be reading this!).
This gave me an idea: I’ll take one of my favorite looks from the street and “re-style” them with inexpensive and chic pieces (thanks, polyvore!).

I love how she paired her neon running shoes with tulle and trinkets! Get the same look for way less with this tee from J. Crew, necklace from Forever 21, tulle skirt from Jigsaw (its a child’s size, but if you’re petite like myself the largest size will probably fit you!), and clutch from The Iconic. Splurge (a little) and spring for the Nike’s!

Peepin’ the Street: Fashion Week Spring/Summer ’13

First of all, YEAY! This is officially my 100th post on the blog! Wow! This little project of mine is sure coming along! Thank you all for following! I hope you’ve had as much fun reading as I have writing!

You may have noticed I’ve been a little quite recently. The past couple weeks have been a little draining, to say the least. Juggling a full time job, full time blogging, a social life, and working in a spin class every so often is nothing to sniff at. But fear not! I’m getting back in the blogging game and I have a TON of new posts coming up!

Anyway, back to the real reason you’re here: FAAAAAHSION! My favorite part about fashion week isn’t found on the runway. It’s in the streets! Here’s some of my ultimate favorite looks from the past few weeks (more to come, I’m sure!).

LFW: Giles

Two of my favorite things, film and fashion, collide in Giles’ Spring 2014 collection. Bat prints, full lips, and scenes from a film, of which I cannot identify, are printed and embroidered on beautiful, light fabrics. The dark meets the light combining water-color mints, purples, and flesh tone pinks with bat wing black. How playfully sinister!

LFW: Moschino Cheap and Chic

Straight from a faux-sunset drenched beach from a 1950’s photo shoot, Moschino Cheap and Chic’s Spring 2014 collection screams fun in the sun. With punchy plaids, flouncy feathers, and flamingos galore make for a winning combination. I love how they incorporated the Jeff Koons-esque inflatables!
